"My cat Mogi loves to be held," says Mogi's mom, who uploads cute videos of her cat to her YouTube channel. 

"Today, he's going in the hoodie," she continues, smiling as she plays with the hood on her sweatshirt.

It's such a simple trick, we can't believe we didn't think of it already! All Mogi's mom does is wear the hoodie backward so the hood part hangs over her chest. Then, she picks Mogi up and places him inside the hood. Instant cat carrier!

"He's already purring like crazy," Mogi's mom says as she struggles to get his whole bottom in the right place. Until recently, Frank was part of an Orange Cat trio, but after his humans rescued a stray kitten a few months ago, the group became a quartet. While the other two cats aren’t especially interested in the newcomer, Frank has taken little Clover under his wing—or paw, rather.

Clover had a rough start before joining the family. She was living as a stray with an injured front leg, and honestly, it’s a bit of a miracle she survived everything she went through. After being rescued, Clover underwent a leg amputation and spent some time in quarantine while she recovered, but she and Frank were immediately drawn to one another.

Now the two are inseparable. Wherever Frank goes, Clover is usually right behind him. It’s as if Frank is proud to share all of his wise big brother knowledge, and Clover is soaking up every bit of it.

You may have seen Frank and his brothers on social media. They’re the trio of Orange Cats known for conducting a daily wildlife review just outside their front door. Although they're both dealing with their own challenges, both curious pets couldn't help but get to know their new friends. For his part, Frankie is dealing with two broken legs from jumping out of a window. Uno, with only one ear, can relate to feeling just a little different. 

Sniffing each other, both pets let the other examine them with patience and calmness, a rarity between dogs and cats. The interaction is just another proof that, despite being different species, it's not impossible to feel empathy for another.

Why Do Cats Scratch Furniture?

Ragdolls Are Known for Their Gentle Temperament

Eevee is such a sweet cat, and there are so many valid reasons to shower her with attention. That's a sweet feature of the Ragdoll cat, as they're known for their gentle temperament. 

According to PetPlan UK, Ragdolls are one of the largest domestic cat breeds and are known for being playful, loyal, and gentle. They're also described as very peaceful, sociable, and inquisitive, and even their name is a nod to their gentleness. 

Unlike most kitties, who are very protective of their bellies, Ragdolls love to roll onto their backs to show off their fluffy bellies and are known for sleeping in that position, too. These cats love to play and are often compared to dogs for how much they enjoy socializing and learning tricks, too.

In @mrmilothechonk's most recent TikTok video, Mom explains in on-screen captions that a few weeks ago, she started carrying her Tabby cat upstairs while he was still in his little round bed. As she demonstrates, it’s almost as if the kitty is a king being carried on a royal pillow. Once they reach the edge of the bed, she gently rolls him out of his cozy kitty throne and onto the mattress.

Why Cats React So Strongly to Unfamiliar Animals

Cats, especially indoor cats, love a good routine and aren't fans of the unexpected or unknown. So when this house cat saw an ostrich for the first time, his reaction was completely understandable.

Experts say that when cats encounter unfamiliar animals, their instincts immediately kick in as they try to determine whether what they’re seeing is a threat, prey, or something in between. They rely heavily on their sense of smell to identify friend from foe and have a natural fear of potential predators. It’s no wonder this poor kitty looked completely overwhelmed by all the unknowns.

Situations like this can sometimes lead to redirected aggression, according to PetMD. This happens when a cat becomes frightened or overstimulated by something it can’t reach and lashes out at a nearby person or pet instead. Common triggers include loud noises, unfamiliar animals or people, new environments, and strong smells, and coming face-to-face with an ostrich checks just about every box.

Thankfully, the cat didn’t display signs of redirected aggression inside the car, where it would have been much harder to calm him down.

Cinder might be more than double Cleo's size, but that doesn't mean he can't copy her every move. This time around, the adorable kitten showed her brother how to comfortably people-watch from their living room window while perched on the sofa.

Porky Belly and Jim are two YouTube-famous British shorthair cats the Internet knows and loves, and their dad is always doing something funny or other.

This time, he's showing off one simple trick to find your cat or cats in no time at all.

"If you've ever had trouble finding your cat," he says into the camera, "I'm going to show you a life hack right now."

"So, all you have to do is put yourself in a position where if a cat were to show up, it'd be super inconvenient."

From there, we watch as Dad stands on one side of the couch and lifts it into the air. This would be a very inconvenient time for the cats to show up and stand under the couch, so of course, that's what they both eventually do!

Jim shows up almost immediately, cutting straight for the shadow under the half-raised couch. Porkybelly arrives soon after, and while their dad now knows exactly where they are, he is stuck holding the couch up until they both wander back out from underneath it. 

Problem solved? How about new problems gained!

Are Cats Really That Curious?

It may be a cliché, but cats have earned their reputation for curiosity. 

Because these felines are highly intelligent, they can't help but be drawn to investigate new things in their surroundings. If you bring a new toy, object or creature into the home, they may stay away at first, but once they realize there is no immediate danger, they'll slowly creep up to it, give it a sniff and take a curious walk around.

Some of this nature is driven by their natural hunting instincts. They're always on the lookout for would-be prey. However, cats are also prey in the wild, and they're just as eager to find out if something is a threat or a friend.

Cats are also notoriously territorial, so they like to understand and be familiar with everything and everyone in their area. It's all about feeling safe and secure, as well as being in command of their own space.

Why Cats Get the Zoomies

Zenitsu is having the time of his life running around with all that energy, and we love to see it, too. But have you ever wondered why cats get the zoomies? Experts say it all comes down to energy. 

According to PetMD, when a cat has the zoomies, which is more technically called frenetic random activity periods (FRAPs), it's typically their way of releasing pent-up energy. They explain that after sitting or sleeping too long, which they do, they have a load of energy they need to run out. And doing that via zoomies is pretty efficient. One expert they spoke to said that it's also thought to release endorphins, which gives them all the happy vibes.

Why Are Tuxedo Cats So Vocal? 

While "Tuxedo" isn't a breed, but a striking black-and-white coloring, they all seem to have a lot to say. Why Some Dogs Don't Like To Play Fetch

Part of why this clip is resonating with viewers is the unexpected role reversal. Labradors, known for their strong retrieving skills, usually love to play fetch, which makes Milo's attitude toward it even funnier. And cats are typically the ones ignoring the activity entirely.

How Much Sleep Do Kittens Need?

This silly kitten is clearly in need of a nap, and that’s not surprising since kittens need a lot of sleep, according to experts. 

According to Vets for Pets, kittens need a lot of naps throughout the day, and it's good for us to let them get that rest. The site explains that kittens sleep up to 18 hours a day, and that's pretty standard for adult cats, too, who only need about 2 hours less once they're out of the kitten phase. 

All the rest of this is important for "vital developmental and growth functions," Vets for Pets explains. As long as they're happy and lively while they're awake, and eating and drinking well, that rest is necessary for all the growing and learning they're doing.

Coco wasn't buying it for a second, though. Despite their mom Angela's best efforts to coax Bailey over and prove she wasn't a stranger, Coco remained completely unconvinced. Bailey seemed almost afraid to walk past her, and honestly, one look at Coco's expression makes it pretty clear why!

Budgies are known to be outgoing, social, and affectionate birds who thrive when they get to be with their favorites (people, cats, whatever!). Persian Cats Are Generally Really Chill

Linen is having a grumpy moment, but that doesn't mean he's grouchy all the time. According to PetPlan UK, Persian cats are generally pretty calm, dignified, and collected.

But that doesn't mean things never bother these cats. The site explains that Persian cats "rarely get irritated" and are more likely to leave the room (or their mom's arms in this case) than resort to hissing or scratching.

But I'd argue that is exactly what Linen did here. He was bothered, so he just tried to leave rather than cause a scene.

Because of his condition, Verbier had to stay at the vet's so they could monitor him. Alti missed him, so their pawrents took him to visit his brother. Although it looks like Alti is upset because he's hissing, watch what happens at the end.

Everybody Was Asking: Why Is He Hissing?

Although there were hundreds of comments about the boys reuniting, one recurring question was why Alti was hissing at his brother. @Iris explained, "The hissing is because he smells different. This happens with my bonded cats anytime one of them goes to the vet. They take a day or two to get reacclimated."

Iris is right. This behavior, referred to as non-recognition aggression, is quite common among cats. The IAABC Foundation Journal explains. "Non-recognition aggression happens when one cat has spent some time outside the home and is viewed as a stranger or threat by a cat that remained at home."

Interestingly enough, the article states that only kitties exhibit this behavior.

What To Do If Your Cats Are Fighting

It's not fun to see two of your kitties not getting along, and that aggression can be a sign that something more is going on than typical, everyday frustration. According to experts, it's important to step in when you see it happening in real life. 

The ASPCA notes that you should "never let the cats fight it out." Instead, interrupt the fighting with a loud clap of your hands. That typically gets them off each other. The site also suggests rewarding good behavior while not trying to calm or soothe the aggressive cat, instead giving them space. You should separate resources like food and water so they don’t compete for the same things, and always check in with your vet if the issue becomes serious. 

We know that Anya and Churro’s spat was short-lived, and they’re likely back to happy cuddles already.

These two are absolutely adorable, and while two of their most distinctive features are their noses and fluffy coats, they are also known for their charming personalities.

The dog's mom, @adriaandoatmeal, shared a TikTok video of the bond between her pup, Oatmeal, and her mom's cat, Nuggie (short for Chicken Nugget, of course). While Oatmeal is a bit more chill, Nuggie is definitely the opposite of chill, but for these two, it works.
