If it were up to most pet parents, we could easily all agree that we would take our pets with us everywhere if we were allowed. Unfortunately, pets aren’t allowed in many stores, except for service animals on most occasions. While there are a few pet-friendly places where you can take your pet, it doesn’t compare to being able to bring your furry friend along while running errands.
Now, in Finland, pet parents don’t have to choose between leaving their pups at home or running errands. A notoriously pet-friendly country, Finland has made it even easier for humans to bring their dogs to the grocery store. With the help of Boomer, a fluffy Samoyed, viewers got the chance to see up close how the system works and how happy the dogs are because of it.

“Wish All Supermarkets Were Like That”
Filling up an entire cart with his floofiness, Boomer the Samoyed took to the grocery store in Finland along his dog dad. While in many places this is unlikely to be seen, in Finland dogs are allowed to shop alongside their humans in specially designed carts.
Because of Boomer’s big size, his human has little space in the cart for snacks, but at least he gets to enjoy his pup’s company during his errands. Unfortunately, bringing Boomer also means having another person’s opinion when it comes to picking out items.
Sniffing all of his dad’s choices (and extra sniffs in the dog section), let’s just say Boomer wasn’t completely onboard with all of his picks. He’s definitely going to take the lead on the house’s grocery list next time around. Pointing out Boomer’s obvious disappointment, the dog’s human captioned the video, “Boomer needs a redemption shopping trip so he can actually get food and treats this time.”
“The way Boomer fills that entire cart lol. He’s so fluffy!” one user added.
Another viewer commented, “Our fluffy polar bear is so curious, so cutee.”
Elsewhere in the comment section, users also expressed their need for these types of pet-friendly locations. “Wish all supermarkets were like that. Dogs don’t complain and be ungrateful,” added another user.
Although we aren’t sure whether these pet-friendly shopping carts and grocery stores will ever fully appear in the United States, we can at least enjoy watching Boomer spread his fluffy happiness throughout Finland.
